(Back to Top)You’ll find installing this model is pretty easy and fast with their Quick lock sink mount. One good thing about it is that, it’s compatible with 3-bolt mounting hardware.
All Insinkerator garbage disposals use the same mounting hardware. If you happen to do a replacement for your old Badger disposer, it’s even easier. Just remove your old food disposal unit and put in the new one. That is, you use back the existing mounting hardware. But make sure your current one is in working condition. If you do that, you have also reduced your installation time.
A few users mentioned that Insinkerator Essential XTR 3/4 HP unit is quite heavy. Hence you might need someone to assist you when holding the unit.
The included power cord kit makes it easy for you to connect with the supply Insinkerater SinkTop switch. To use the switch, you need an electrical outlet to turn it on or off. If you intend to do a direct connection or hard wire the disposal, it will not work.
Everything you need is included except for plumber's putty. If you intend to use back your existing flange, then plumber’s putty is not required.
