Installation
(Back to Top)You installed the disposer with the Speed Master Mounting System. They also called it a threaded mounting system. It's a simple and fast way to install your disposal. And you do not need any special tools or bolts. The manufacturer claimed that they've only 4 major components for the installation. On the other hand, their competitors got around 14 parts.
You shouldn't have problem in the installation if you follow the included instructions. A critical step for a quick mount is the correct position of the cushion mount. A few users have difficulty because they misplace the cushion mount position. Pay attention to its position before you take apart the mounting assembly. Practice re-assembles the mounting to get it right before you proceed to do it under your sink.
The package comes with a rubber gasket. Use it with your stainless steel sink. If you have other types of sinks, you will need plumber’s putty which is not included.
There is an attached power cord which makes it easier for you to plug it into an outlet socket. If you prefer to use direct wire, you need to remove the cord and plug from the unit.
