Insinkerator Badger 1 Installation
(Back to Top)Mounting this product is pretty easy using their popular Quick Lock Sink Mount. All Insinkerator garbage disposals use this sink mount. So if you replaces an old Insinkerator disposer, you can use back the existing mounting assembly.
To take out the old disposer, just twist it off. To mount the new unit, you twist it on. We agreed with one user who said it’s like a “plug and play” installation when replacing an old exact model.
Read the user manual first. And you should not have any problem doing the installation yourself.
The package has the below items:
- Insinkerator badger 1 garbage disposer,
- Quick lock sink mount,
- Sink baffle,
- Jam-Buster wrench,
- Discharge tube, gasket, flange, 2 bolts
- Stopper and
- Installation instructions.
It does not come with a power cord. If you intend to plug into a power outlet instead of doing a direct wired connection, then you need to buy one. It also does not include cable connector, wire nuts and plumber’s putty.
If you need to hook up with your dishwasher, knockout the drain plug and remove it before mounting the unit. This is for you to connect the dishwasher drain hose to the disposal.
