3. The stopper covers the mouth of garbage disposal during operation. So, it reduces the noise level.
Cons
1. If you’ve a large amount of waste food, it will take a longer time to grind them. You may need to repeat the cycle a few times.
2. Batch feed garbage disposals are not popular with household owners. So there are limited models available in the market. As a result, you’ve a lesser choice when selecting the product you want.
3. They tend to have a bigger size than continuous feed units.
4. They are more expensive when compared with continuous feed models.
5. If you happen to misplace the stopper, you cannot start the unit till you find it.
Continuous Feed
This feed run when you turn on the wall switch (or press the air switch). While it is running, you can throw in the waste food into the unit for grinding. You can continue to do so as long as the unit is in operation.Pros
1. Suitable for large amount of waste food. You can throw in scrap foods when the unit is running. As a result, you complete the grinding faster.
2. The price is cheaper when compared with batch feed units.
3. Most household are using this feed, so lots of models in the market. Thus, you got more options to choose from.
Cons
Since the drain sink is not cover during operation, there exists a certain risk. You may hurt your hand or fingers by accident. And the dropping of foreign objects could damage the disposer. When you use it, you must take the necessary precautions.
